Her background in both magic and healing complements Dr. Who’s scientific interests and make for a well-rounded coupling. Morgana possesses a strong personality and a desire to further her agenda (whether obtaining Excalibur or frightening Guinevere) should be toned down through intergalactic peace-keeping missions.
According to some sources, Morgana learned from Merlin at a point her life, and there’s Dr. Who episode Battlefield. So perhaps others had already considered this pairing.
